
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18, 1980)[1] is an American actor and singer from the United States. Beginning her acting career by playing in stage productions during her time studying at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, she made her Broadway stage debut as Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and appeared in a Broadway revival of The Crucible the following year. Then, she appeared in the action-thriller Spartan (2004). The film received praise for her performance as Becky Thatcher in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The following year, she appeared on Broadway in a revival of The Crucible. The character was reprised in the 2014 film , as well as the reboot in 2019. During her time on Veronica Mars, Bell starred in the role of Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005), a reprise of the role she previously played in the New York musical of the identical name.Bell starred as Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 until in 2008. Bell played the role of the character's narrator on the Teen Drama series Gossip Girl. The 2021 sequel will see her reprise the role. Bell was also Showtime comedian House of Lies' lead actress, Jeannie van de Hooven. Bell was a part of Eleanor Shellstrop in the NBC comedy series The Good Place. This role was nominated for the Golden Globe Award. Bell played the character of Eleanor Shellstrop in the streaming show The Woman in the Home The Girl in the Window Across the Street Girl in the Window.
