Awkwafina

Awkwafina was initially a American performer and rapper, performing sly tunes that dealt with topics like racial or sexual identities with a funny twist. Before expanding to Hollywood the singer could make a few songs. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Then, she started traditional and hip-hop training. When she was in the college years, she remained focused on her studies and majored both in women's study as well as journalism. In a short period during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were offered as well. After graduating, she began to focus on music. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured in her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured viral hits like the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$1. The single that debuted was directly connected to Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. As a musician and an author as her credentials, she determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. She has appeared in films including Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored her first major role in a number of high-profile films such as Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. It was in June that she released her first film In Fina We Trust.
